Luiza is a dedicated Brazilian attorney committed to advancing human rights and social justice. Specializing in multilateralism, development, gender, and combating gender-based violence, Luiza is an expert in SOGIESC (sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, and sex characteristics) issues.
As the former Senior Program Officer for United Nations Engagement at Outright International, Luiza served as the Secretariat of the United Nations LGBTI Core Group, leading civil society coalitions and contributing to groundbreaking initiatives.
Previously, as a Human Rights Specialist at the Rapporteurship on Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Persons of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Luiza authored thematic reports and played a key role in regional leading cases on human rights.
